Grace in Action

Part of our mission at Grace is to "Unleash" people for Christ. One of the ways that we do that is to focus not only on the people of Grace, but to strive daily to meet the needs of those in our community, our country, and in the world.

Some of our recent mission endeavors included raising over $9,000 for flood relief for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. In the summer of 2007 our church sent a work team to Moss Point, Ms to be in service to the victims of that horrible disaster. Grace church also made a sizable contribution to purchase and equip an early responder's trailer so that when natural disasters strike, immediately relief will be on the way.

Earlier this year a team from Grace was sent by the church to Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras, to work with Habitat international, where for 8 days the people of Grace helped make it possible to for 18 families to have running water and sewer in their modest Habitat houses.

Each year at Grace the people of Grace sponsor "Parking with Purpose", where members and friends of Grace staff our church parking lot, and sell parking to attendees at events at neighboring NewBridge Bank Park. Every penny that is raised through this project are reinvested in community missions.

The youth of Grace are also mission minded. In addition to serving in local food banks, visiting local care facilities, and serving at Samaritans Purse; our youth participate in the Appalachia Service Project where our youth work to repair the homes of those in need.

As a church that strives to "Reach, Teach, and Unleash People for Christ," we encourage all of the people of Grace to find a way to be in missions each and every day of their lives. We invite you to check our Current Opportunities to find out where you can get involved.
