Welcome to Grace Church
Kids In Dynamic Service
is a ministry that allows current 4th & 5th graders a chance to share their time and gifts with our community. We meet once a month to learn about how others serve our community and then participate in a project. Please share any ideas of ways these young folks can get involved.
Reports on Past Events
On Sunday December 6, the 4th and 5th grade children from Grace UMC and College Park Baptist Church went to Pathways Urban Ministries to serve food. Pathway’s is an organization with the Greensboro Urban Ministries that allows people, just like you and me, that don’t have a home to live. Pathways also helps them find a job so that they can start to earn money and get a place of their own.
We prepared and served soup, chili, sandwiches, desserts and beverages. We also cleaned up after everyone had eaten their dinner. They were all very friendly and thanked us for their delicious food. It was very interesting to talk and visit with them and hear all about their different lives. It was a great experience for all of us and we can’t wait to do our next exciting project.

Greensboro Urban Ministry Update! by Harrison Stone
On Friday July 31, 2009 a group of kids from Grace UMC and College Park Baptist got together and went to help out at Greensboro Urban Ministry. The Urban Ministry tries very hard to help the needy with things like emergency food supplies and shelter. They even have a clothing store where the less-fortunate can buy clothes and shoes very cheap. They serve food to those in need from 10:30 - 12:30 every day and feed up to 500 people daily.
We worked in the food bank and the clothing store. In the food bank we put all kinds of canned goods like green beans, soups, canned meats, etc. into paper bags for someone to deliver to the needy. In the clothing store we sorted thru bags and bags of donated clothes and shoes and stocked the shelves at the clothing store. All stained or damaged clothes that are not used for the clothing store are sent to the people of Africa.
We all had a ball and we hope that the children at Grace can continue to help out in the community more often.
