Morris Brown has been the Lead Pastor of Grace since 1999. He has a passion for helping people discover the relevance of the Christian faith for everyday living. Morris and his wife Pam are the proud parents of two sons, Zach, who is a student at Appalachian State University and Caleb, who is a student at Grimsley Senior High School. Morris loves golf, running, going to the movies, listening to Bruce Springsteen music and goofing off!

 

Send Email!Mike Moran, one of Grace's pastors has been at Grace since 2003. Mike and his wife Susan have three grown sons, Jonathan, Jeffrey, and Joseph; two wonderful daughters-in-law, Jessica and Emily, and a beautiful granddaughter, Mary Claire. When not working, Mike enjoys visiting the beach, playing golf, and spending time with his family.

 

 

Send Email!Laura Jo Gann loves being with children!  Which is an awesome thing since she is the Director of Children’s ministries here at Grace.  Laura Jo has been with Grace since June of 2008. Prior to being at Grace, she worked as a youth and children’s director at a church in the Lake Norman area for 5 years. She and her husband Darren were excited for the opportunity to come back home and be in ministry together.

 

Send Email!Christina McCord, our Youth Director has the greatest job in the world….working with middle and high school youth! She has been a part of Grace's youth ministry since 2005. Prior to being an "official staff member," she taught 2nd and 3rd graders for 6 years! She loves having the opportunity to shape the lives of young people through teaching, serving, and having fun! She and her husband, Jason, have been married for four years and have a 17 month old son, Grant. She enjoys spending time with her family, taking walks, and watching reality TV! Send Email!Judi Mitchell, our secretary, is first contact for information on membership, events or services. Judi is a native of Greensboro and grew up in the Methodist Church. She joined our staff in May, 1998. She has two children, Kathie and Mike and a granddaughter, Allison. When not at the church, Judi enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, bowling, learning to play golf, reading, camping and playing with her Lab, Bailey. Send Email!Marshall Johnson our Contemporary Music Director. Marshall is a GRAMMY® Award nominated singer, musician and music educator. His career has enabled him to perform in numerous concerts in many of the world's great performing halls with top artists including the GRAMMY® Award winning internationally acclaimed men's a cappella ensemble Chanticleer. In addition to serving as the Contemporary Music Director at Grace, Marshall is proud to serve as Vocal Music Director at Grimsley High School in Greensboro.

 

 

Send Email!Danny Frye is our Chancel Choir Director. Danny comes to Grace having led church choirs of all levels and ages, including children's choirs, youth choirs, adult choirs, and handbell choirs. At Grace, Danny uses music to set the tone for worship, provide reverence for communion services, and support the scripture and sermons. Danny's musical background is diverse. A percussionist by trade, Danny has performed as a solo marimbist all over the United States and Puerto Rico. In addition, he has performed as a jazz drummer and orchestral percussionist with headline artists, including Aretha Franklin and Lorrie Morgan, as well as with the Charleston Symphony, National Opera Company, Greensboro Symphony and Winston-Salem Symphony. The grandson of a Methodist minister, the church has always been an integral part of Danny's life. He considers it a privilege to be able to use music to praise God every week.

 

Our Church Organist is Paula Owens. Paula also leads our children's music program on Sunday mornings. Paula, who is a music teacher in Guilford County Schools, is currently working on a professional degree in School Administration and is an assistant principal at Kiser Middle School.
