Grace Church Staff

Send Email!Mark Weekley was appointed to serve as lead pastor at Grace Church in 2011.  He has served 4 other congregations as an ordained elder in the Western North Carolina Conference.  Born & raised in North Carolina, he graduated high school in Belmont before attending Brevard College and graduating from Appalachian State University (finest football school in the state!).  After answering the call to preach, he married Jennie Starling.  They lived in Atlanta, where he attended seminary at Emory University.  Pulling for the Braves during their 1991 “worst to first” season made baseball fans of them for life.  Mark and Jennie’s 3 children are Rebecca, Ben, and Elizabeth, and they have a lab/beagle mix named Maddie.  Mark is excited about working here at Grace Church and wants to have fun leading in ministry, making new friends, and transforming the world for Jesus Christ.
